It's a state where a person loses their inner strength, stops enjoying life, and can no longer help effectively. Loved ones start to feel emptiness, despair, and irritation. Therefore, self-care is not selfishness, but a necessary condition for helping an addict to truly achieve results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Signs of emotional burnout in loved ones<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone who spends a long time around an addict is at risk. Burnout can manifest gradually, sometimes so subtly that the person does not link their condition to the constant struggle for their loved one's health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Physical exhaustion. Constant fatigue, insomnia, headaches, weakened immunity. The body is working \u00abat its limit\u00bb.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emotional exhaustion. Relatives no longer feel joy, even good news doesn't elicit a response.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Irritability and aggression. Conflicts begin to arise within the family, often affecting other children, spouses, and elderly relatives.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guilt. It feels like you're \u00abnot trying hard enough,\u00bb that it's your fault the addict can't cope.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social isolation. A person avoids friends, is afraid to talk about the problem, withdraws into themselves.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Despair. Loss of faith in the future, thoughts of \u00abthis will never end\u00bb.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If at least a few of these symptoms sound familiar, it's a signal to stop and reassess your limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Methods of resource recovery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Burnout doesn't go away on its own. It's necessary to consciously restore balance and look after your own resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recognise your limitations:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You cannot control another person's addiction.
